To mark His Majesty The King’s Coronation thousands of organisations across the country got together to give us all the chance to help out in our own local communities. We co-ordinated a 3 hour Big Help Out volunteering event for all local residents. Despite the rainy bank holiday weather, over 60 people turned out to voluntarily improve our town. In 2007, Sandbach Partnership was responsible for a successful application to the North West Development Agency for a grant of £350k. This funding was used by Cheshire East Council to renovate the Sandbach Enterprise Centre. In agreement with the then Chair, Dot Flint, office space has provided free of charge to allow the Partnership to operate for the benefit of the community; successfully delivering a number of key projects. The new management team was ratified by Cheshire East Council in November and includes a Chair, two co-Vice chairs and an officer. The new officers come from a range of professional backgrounds in project management, health, government funding and communications. They are all residents of Sandbach and offer their skills and experience voluntarily.
