Keeping you informed about Sandbach

Sandbach has a wealth of vounteers that make our Town what it is today!. This week we get the opportunity, through volunteers week, to officially say a massive thank you for the amazing work our many local groups and residents do. From the friends of our local Parks, woodland & wildlife and walking groups , to the clean team and right though to our local well being and support groups like Grass Root Disability and Dementia

As part of our commitment to support residents and businesses we have got together with 2 of our forum members, with a view to helping people who may be suffering from anxiety due to shielding. We hope the results can be used to plan what could be their first visit into town in a long time. We are also seizing the opportunity to ask businesses about future opportunities relating to Dementia Friendly Sandbach and Grass Roots Disability.

In my role as Chairman of Sandbach Partnership for the last 19 years, I am proud of what I have achieved, no one person alone can do these things on their own, so my thanks go to everyone who played a part in helping us to become a successful partnership, we also helped other towns in developing partnerships, Holmes Chapel, Wilmslow and Poynton. I am particularly proud of all the local groups we have helped and worked with, the many events

Please note the Partnership is under new management. We will endeavour to update progress here as soon as we can. Please note we are a part-time voluntary organisation, and the office is only manned one day a week due to COVID.

The South Cheshire Market Trail   Dot Flint Chair of the TownPartnership Forum is delighted to announce yet another example of workingtogether by the Town Partnerships to produce a fantastic free walking map. The Map was funded by Cheshire East through the New Home Bonus Fund, it is a great example of what can be achieved by volunteers working together, it will help promote our wonderful countryside and offer people an opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle. A unique opportunity for everyone of all ages to come together to remember their loved one at a very special time of year. Sandbach Partnership AGM will be held on Tuesday 26th November 7pm at Sandbach Enterprise Centre. At the meeting the election of officers to sit on Sandbach Partnership Management Team will take place, there are 4 positions up for election, these are Chairman, Vice Chairman and 2 officers. Anybody wishing to apply for any of these positions need to be a member of the Sandbach Partnership Forum and submit a nomination form which has been proposed and seconded by another member of the forum 14

A Fun Event giving local children a safe environment in which to dress up in their Halloween attire. There is a fancy-dress parade and competition and the best carved pumpkin contest, lots of attractions face painting, apple bobbing, spooky arts and crafts and henna tattoos plus music from Night Owl DJ.
