Saturday 28th October saw the return of Spooky Saturday to the famous cobbles operated by Sandbach Partnership.
Hundreds of people flocked to this spooktacular event which took place between 3pm and 6pm on the cobbles and in St Mary’s Church Hall.
Featuring a range of activities and entertainment for all the family, residents of Sandbach were treated to street theatre by Saxon Players together with a backdrop of music and fancy dress.
Free activities were available for all to enjoy including face painting, create your own slime, apple bobbing and a toy swap shop.
The event also featured other member organisations of the Partnership, with Sandbach Clean Team hosting witch hat hoopla, Sandbach Animal Rescue holding a tombola and hook a prize and Cheshire Arts for Health (Sandbach Art Room) had a whole host of crafts including spray paint art.
Sandbach Partnership would like to thank the Swan & Chequer, Sandbach for donating a meal for two (best adult fancy dress) and Kaz’s Creature Comforts, Sandbach for the pet gift basket (best pooch fancy dress). Best two child fancy dress prizes were provided by the Partnership.
‘It was amazing to see so many people enjoying all the activities on offer. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, its these types of events that make Sandbach a great place to live’. Event lead and Vice-Chair, Anne-Marie Robinson
